Flower Care
Fresh Flower Arrangements
-
Make sure the water level is fresh and full at all times. Flush the water in your vase as often as possible, daily is best, but every other day or so will be just fine. The easiest way to do this is by finding a small opening between the flowers (but not on top of the blooms), aiming the faucet into the opening and slowly running cool water into the vase, letting the old water circulate out as fresh water enters in
-
Keep your blooms away from direct sunlight and the path of AC vents
-
Be aware of the temperature in your home space. If you like your space on the warmer side, know this may cause your flowers to wilt more quickly
-
Like most living things, different flower varieties have varying life spans. Simply remove stems that no longer look healthy. If not removed, the bacteria from expired flowers may cause others to wilt more rapidly
Live Plant Arrangements
-
Water plants regularly, allowing the soil to dry out between watering
-
Keep your arrangement in an area with bright, indirect sunlight, and out of the path of AC vents
-
Orchids and tropical plants prefer humid environments so spritz leaves and stems regularly between watering
-
Like most living things, different plant varieties have varying life spans and growth rates. Prune and repot individual plants as they outgrow the arrangement container
